This Wednesday at 7pm we have a talk lined up from Alastair Clarke who has decades of experience in health care innovation, having worked on many patents for drug delivery devices. He will be taking us through his experience in the industry, how it has changed and how he has navigated the field of device regulations in the UK, US and Europe. Following on from the great talk yesterday by Moises who runs the start up Drill Surgeries, our next talk is on intellectual property and what you need to own your idea. He highlighted how important it is to have protection in place if you want to get a start up off the ground.

This Wednesdays talk is being given by Dr Stephen Casabella (PhD), the IP manager for the University of Liverpool, with years of experience in helping people find the right protection at the right time for their ideas. It will cover what is needed for an idea to be classed as unique as well as forms of Intellectual property protection other than patents.
