The Mac vs Windows debate in two paragraphs? OK:
It's worth pointing out that I'm not against Apple necessarily. They serve their place in the market for high-spec, well designed laptops. I just like to dispel the myth that they are manufactured from some sort of magically unbreakable substance. Seeing as the entry level Macbook starts at £1249, a Windows laptop made from a metal shell with the same processor and other spec will be much cheaper. Apple do make the buying process easier as they only make high spec machines. There's no such thing as a new, slow, low spec Mac, unlike the Windows market which is awash with slow, disappointing computers.
I recognise that for people with existing Apple products, keeping within the product family makes it easier to synchronise all your devices. If you are new to Apple products, learning a completely new system is an unnecessary hassle. Experienced Mac owners will of course tell you that Macs are much easier to use than Windows, but that's true for anybody who is used to a certain system.
