A huge congratulations to Rob on launching this fantastic new brand. It was an absolute honour and privilege to support him through the prototype phase for the stunning Model 1 Speaker Stands.

Hand-built in Barry, these stands use premium Baltic birch plywood and industrial laminates sourced from local specialists for their exceptional natural damping qualities and durability. Every signature PlyFi® edge is hand-sanded by Rob through a meticulous four-stage process, then sealed with three coats of Osmo Polyx Oil — creating a beautiful tactile satin finish that mass production simply can’t match.

Truly special craftsmanship. Proud to have played a small part in bringing them to life.

Linn LP12 Majik
The legendary suspended sub-chassis design that’s been refined for decades. It features the Karousel single-point bearing, Krane tonearm, and comes with either the Adikt MM or Koil MC cartridge.

Benefits: Timeless musicality, incredible fluidity and engagement, huge long-term upgrade potential within the LP12 ecosystem, and that classic Linn “you haven’t heard your records yet” magic. Perfect if you want a future-proof entry into high-end vinyl that you can evolve over time.

Pro-Ject X8
A mass-loaded beast with a massive 5.1kg TPE-damped aluminum platter, 9” carbon fiber EVO tonearm, magnetically supported inverted ceramic bearing, and True Balanced connection capability. Electronic speed control (33/45) and excellent isolation.
Benefits: Outstanding speed stability, low noise, impressive dynamics and soundstage (especially when run balanced), ready-to-enjoy high-end performance with strong value, and great resonance control from the heavy chassis and damped feet. Ideal if you want immediate heavyweight punch and low-maintenance precision.

Both are fantastic belt-drive turntables but take very different approaches — one evolutionary and upgradeable, the other modern mass-loaded excellence.

🎶 Audition Update 🎶

Today’s epic vinyl session with a local client put the legendary Linn LP12 through its paces. We compared the integrated phono stage on the Gold Note IS1000 Deluxe amplifier directly against the Gold Note PH-5.2 phono stage.

After several hours of careful listening and swapping between setups, the client made the clear upgrade and invested in the outstanding Gold Note PH-10 phono stage.

Nothing beats hearing the difference in real time. The PH-10 brought out that extra layer of detail, dynamics, and musicality the client was chasing.

Now we just need to finish upgrading their LP12, with a upgraded Tonearm and Cartridge along with a service 🙏🏻
