SCADA Training Course
Course Title: SCADA Training
Course Description: This course provides an introduction to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, including its components, operation, and programming.
Students will learn the basic principles of SCADA systems, including their architecture, communication protocols, data acquisition, and monitoring capabilities.
The course will also cover the major types of SCADA systems, their applications, and their limitations. Students will gain practical experience by configuring, programming, and operating a simulated SCADA system.
Course Goals and Learning Outcomes:
Understand the principles of SCADA systems and their applications in modern industries.
Gain knowledge of the components of a SCADA system, including sensors, RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces).
Learn communication protocols used in SCADA systems, such as Modbus and DNP3.
Understand data acquisition and monitoring capabilities of SCADA systems, including real-time data acquisition, data logging, and trending.
Develop the skills necessary to configure, program, and troubleshoot a SCADA system.
Learn about the security considerations and best practices for SCADA systems.
Understand the ethical considerations and societal impacts of SCADA systems.
