Wishing our Technical Trainer, Mike Conlin, a very happy belated birthday!

Mike is a valued and much-loved member of the CTTS team, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate him. Always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge or offer a bit of advice, Mike is someone people know they can turn to.

But it’s not just Mike’s experience and expertise that make him such an important part of the team. He’s always on hand to offer advice and support, usually with a sarcastic comment or quick-witted joke thrown in for good measure.

Mike, we hope you know just how much you are appreciated by everyone here at CTTS. We’re sending you our very best wishes and hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday. Here’s to plenty more laughs and good times together!

Happy Birthday, Mike, from all of us at CTTS!

Your mental health matters too.

Working in our industry can be demanding. Long days, tight deadlines, physical work, working away from home and the pressure to keep going can all add up and sometimes, you might not even realise how much it’s affecting you.

We’re often told to “get on with it”, but looking after your mental health isn’t a weakness. Talking to someone, asking for help or simply admitting that things aren’t feeling great can be a really important first step.

This World Mental Health Day, we want to remind everyone across our industry that you don’t have to deal with things alone.

If you’re struggling, there are people you can talk to:
🧡 Andy’s Man Club — free, weekly peer-to-peer support groups for men across the UK.
💛 Samaritans — available 24/7 if you need someone to talk to. Call 116 123 for free.

And sometimes, the most important thing you can do is simply check in with someone around you. A quick “Are you alright?” can mean more than you realise.

Let’s look out for ourselves, and for each other.

It’s always great to hear that our trainers are making a real difference to our delegates! 🙌

We love seeing feedback like this, especially when it highlights the knowledge, enthusiasm and effort our trainers put into every session.

A big shoutout to Stefan Barloga for another great training session and for making complex topics feel straightforward and easy to understand. 👏

It’s feedback like this that makes all the hard work worthwhile!

CTTS were delighted to host our annual Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning, bringing colleagues together for plenty of coffee, biscuits and good company, all in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our teams got involved by bringing along a fantastic selection of biscuits and sweet treats, creating quite the spread and giving everyone a very good excuse to take a well-earned coffee break!

Most importantly, the morning was about coming together to raise vital funds and support the incredible work Macmillan does for people living with cancer and their families.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, brought along biscuits and took part. We’re proud to support such an important cause and grateful to everyone who helped make the morning a success.

CTTS were delighted to welcome Michelle to our Lincoln Training Centre for our annual Smart Awards Ltd audit.

A big thank you to our trainer Mike Conlin for taking the time to showcase all things CTTS and provide an insight into the training and standards we pride ourselves on.

We’re pleased to maintain our Low Risk rating and are proud of the strong working relationship we continue to build with Smart Awards. It’s always valuable to have our processes, facilities and commitment to quality recognised through the audit process.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping us maintain the high standards our delegates and industry partners expect from CTTS.
