From manuscript to masterpiece! 📖

Here’s a lovely example of some of the lesser-known projects we get involved with at The Incredible Design Company!

Our customer, Richard, has spent time putting pen to paper, sharing tales of the various mishaps, scrapes and adventures he’s experienced throughout his life, particularly behind the wheel!

His wife has brought these stories to life with her wonderful hand-painted illustrations, and that’s where our talented team stepped in.

Dan and Rachel have worked together to take Richard’s manuscripts and his wife’s beautiful artwork, carefully weaving them into a wonderfully illustrated book, A Bit of a Dick!

It’s been a real team effort, bringing together storytelling, illustration, design and print to turn a collection of personal memories into something very special.

The finished book will soon be available to buy on Amazon!

We’re incredibly proud of Dan and Rachel’s work on this project. It’s a great reminder that there’s so much more to IDC than the everyday print and design jobs people might associate us with. We love helping turn people’s ideas into reality, and this is a brilliant example of what our team can achieve.

Celebrating 4 years of our wonderful colleague Rachel this week. Always in the right place at the right time, she’s a fantastic support to us all. Never one to be in shot when the camera is out but we managed to catch her earlier this week! Here she is supporting Dex with cutting the DTF for a large print run next week. They both love a bit of Westlife, so seems only right to include at bit on the post.

Matt & Dan do Bond…A wonderful evening last night at Uckfield Business Awards representing The Incredible Design Company as this year’s Charity of the Year. So lovely to catch up with friends from the local business community and witness the deserving winners accept their awards. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners and huge huge thanks to all who contributed to raising £1000 for our cause. Uckfield Chamber of Commerce it was a pleasure to be with you (and thank you for encouraging everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Matt!)

Amongst all the T’s and hoodies this week these cracking pull up banners for The Picture House and Atrium really stood out. Here we’ve reused the old canisters and refreshed the old tired graphics for fresh new designs. Pass the popcorn 🍿.

If you need something similar for your business or group, give us a bell.

She’s only gone and done it!

Here’s Sam leaping from a plane in aid of IDC! She even asked to go higher for maximum free fall time 😮‍💨🙌

A truly fantastic effort and a quite remarkable £2000 raised. Thanks to everyone who sponsored and of course, huge thanks to Sam taking on the challenge! 🪂

Some fantastic feedback from a long term client and friend of IDC this morning...

"Hopsteiner have a long-standing relationship with Dan Barber and the Incredible Design Company who have helped to deliver design work, branded clothing and point of sale projects over the last 4 years. On a recent project, Dan helped to design an outside back cover of the Chartered Institute of Brewing & Distilling publication which is an international industry magazine for global drinks industry professionals. The brief was fulfilled swiftly and in time for our tight submission deadline. Dan's commitment to our project and excellent communication throughout, delivered a design that exceeded our expectations and has been widely complimented by colleagues and associates alike. It's a pleasure to have Dan and the IDC as an extension of our team"

Ed Kentish Barnes - Managing Director - Steiner Hops Ltd

If you need design services for your business, club or organisation feel free to give Dan a call on 01825 724376 or email us at [email protected]

🪂 Our trustee Sam is taking fundraising to new heights! 🪂

On 1st September (weather permitting), our trustee Sam will be doing a tandem skydive to raise funds for IDC.

It's something Sam has always wanted to do... although the reality of jumping out of a perfectly good plane is now feeling slightly more terrifying than it did when she signed up! 😅

By taking on this challenge, Sam hopes to raise vital funds to support the work of IDC, helping people with disabilities to develop creative skills, build confidence, and create pathways into the workspace and greater independence.

If you'd like to support Sam (and give her one less excuse to back out at 7000 feet! 😉), we'd be incredibly grateful for a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue making a real difference.

Please donate using the link below and, if possible, add gift aid to increase your donation.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. We can't wait to share photos (and hopefully a big smile after landing safely!) once the challenge is complete. 💙

🌴 We're officially out of office! 🌴

A huge thank you to all our amazing customers and supporters. We genuinely couldn't do what we love without you, and we're so grateful for your continued encouragement and loyalty.❤️

The machines are taking a break, the emails are on snooze, and it's time for the team to swap print runs and embroidery hoops for BBQs, beaches, family time and a well-earned recharge! ☀️🍦

We'll be back at 9:00am on Monday 17th August, refreshed, recharged, and ready to create more top-quality print, embroidery, signage, workwear and everything in between.

Until then... have an incredible summer, stay safe, and thank you once again for being part of our journey.

See you soon! 👋

🎉 Happy 50th Birthday, Jo! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating not only Jo’s 50th birthday, but she’s also beginning her 30th year as part of The Incredible Design Company family.

Jo is our longest-serving team member, having joined IDC all those years ago! Her dedication is truly unwavering. If she had her way, she’d be here seven days a week, 52 weeks a year!

Over the past three decades, Jo has seen it all. She’s worked alongside special colleagues and friends who have come and gone, witnessed IDC grow and evolve, embraced new ways of working, and been part of three office moves. Through every change, one thing has remained constant, her commitment to being part of IDC.

Her enthusiasm for her job, seeing her friends, learning new skills and contributing to the team is something we’re incredibly proud of and never take for granted.

Happy 50th Birthday, Jonesy. Thank you for being such an important part of IDC. Here’s to many more happy years together!

Have a wonderful day celebrating! 🎂🥳❤️
