I officially don't need Facebook anymore. I was naive and trusting for too long, but that stops today.

I have built and published my own independent website, so I no longer need to be part of a platform that has consistently prioritised profit over basic human decency.

​The documented reality of what Meta/Facebook has enabled and hosted over the years is clear:

​Kremlin & Oligarch Funding:
Historically bankrolled by Russian state-backed funds and oligarchs to secure early market dominance.

​2009 Investment: Tech investor Yuri Milner, through DST Global (backed by oligarch Alisher Usmanov), bought an initial $200 million stake in Facebook in 2009, eventually holding nearly 8% of the company before its public listing.

​State Funding: Documents revealed that DST Global's Facebook investment was financed through loans provided by Gazprom Invest holding, a state-controlled Russian entity.

​Divestment: DST Global sold its Facebook holdings following the company's Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2012, realizing substantial profits. Both Facebook and Milner stated these were purely financial, non-voting investments without board representation.

Fake Analytics & Inflated Metrics (Facebook Insights / Reach Fraud): Multiple court cases and investigative reports proved Meta intentionally inflated viewing metrics (by up to 900%) and fake user reach (Facebook Insights) to trick creators and businesses into paying for fake traffic and bot engagement.

Security Risks & The Business of Online Scams

Why relying on social media is an extreme business risk.

​Social media platforms have become an unchecked playground for cybercriminals. We see it every day: fake investment schemes, fraudulent e-commerce stores impersonating legitimate brands, stolen profiles, and malicious links.

​The most concerning part? These platforms routinely approve these scam ads and profit directly from them.
