Its coming to that time of year again, where the store closes up for a few days, and chill time starts in the form of annual leave......

System Restore UK will be open Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th as normal, then closed, and re-opening again Monday 24th at 9am!

No holiday break this year, just time to fulfill the errands, plenty of DIY, spending some extra time with the family, and finishing it off with a cheeky Saturday night out at Milton Keynes Bowl to see The Prodigy..... No rest for the wicked.

If we don't see you Monday or Tuesday, we will see you on the 24th!

Today was a day of gaming laptop repairs, with half a dozen or so coming in for all sorts of work. Among them......

Ryzen 7 Asus Tuf came in with Idling and operating temperatures of 70 - 80 degrees. Full thermal service done, including much needed pad replacement, now sitting super cool around 36 - 41 degrees. Cold and Quiet.

Acer Nitro i5 in with power issues. Problems all caused by faulty battery, new one supplied and fitted, a bit of additional storage going in whilst it was all opened up, and all good to go!

MSI Cyborg 15 in with a broken screen, one in stock, supplied and fitted, back out to the client same day!

Asus Strix i9 in with broken screen, new one supplied and fitted, back on the gaming scene once more, all within 48 hours!

A day of laptop strip downs, with lots of issues with hinges popping off lids, broken bases, snapped mounts etc. If we had a pound for every time one of these came in. Same symptoms, screen opens, case is splitting open and lots of cracking noises!

OMG! This heat is ridiculous....

Not only do we have to spare a thought for all of us humans going through this crazy weather, all of our poor pets finding a cool spot in the house, but we need to spare a though for all our tech that's getting put through the ringer!
