Another bespoke production workspace designed and delivered by PROMEDIAIT.

For this project, we created a custom production desk specifically built around the Vizrt TriCaster Flex Dual control panel and the Behringer WING COMPACT digital mixing console.

The Vizrt TriCaster Flex Dual provides operators with fast, tactile control over professional live production workflows. Its dual control layout, dedicated switching controls, T-bars, joystick and programmable functions make it an ideal solution for environments where speed, precision and operator efficiency are essential.

Rather than relying on a standard desk, we designed the workstation around the equipment itself, ensuring that the control surfaces are positioned correctly and remain comfortable to operate throughout long production sessions.

For audio, the workstation integrates the Behringer WING COMPACT, a powerful 48-channel, 28-bus full-stereo digital mixing console that brings the capabilities of the WING platform into a significantly smaller footprint.

With 24 Midas PRO preamps, 13 motorised 100 mm faders, a 10.1-inch multi-touch display, three AES50 ports, 48-channel USB Audio/MIDI connectivity and up to 64-track SD recording, WING COMPACT provides an extremely flexible platform for broadcast, live production, streaming and professional AV environments.

Its extensive routing and connectivity options, together with expansion possibilities including Dante and Waves SoundGrid, make it particularly well suited to integrated production systems where flexibility and scalability are key.

The result is a clean, ergonomic and purpose-built production environment where video switching, audio mixing and system control are brought together within a single professional workstation.

Today is all about precision, integration and hands-on engineering, bringing together SDI, fibre optic, NDI, Dante and SRT within one unified production ecosystem.

Today was all about the next generation of live production.

The PROMEDIAIT team took part in a hands-on training and technology showcase focused on Vizrt’s newly refreshed TriCaster portfolio, and there was plenty to get excited about.

We explored the complete TriCaster family, from the accessible TriCaster Mini, through the new TriCaster Prizm, right up to the flagship TriCaster Vizion, designed for demanding broadcast, corporate, sports and live event workflows.

One of the highlights was TriCaster Vizion AI/R.

Real-time AI keying now works together with Augmented Reality graphics, opening up some genuinely exciting production possibilities. The AI Keyer can separate presenters from their surroundings in real time without requiring a traditional green screen, allowing virtual backgrounds and AR elements to be introduced into locations that would previously have required a dedicated studio setup.

That means an office, event space, venue or temporary production area can potentially become part of an immersive virtual production environment.

We also had the opportunity to work with the new LivePanel Pro, available for TriCaster Prizm and Vizion. Its browser-based, widget-driven interface brings low-latency video previews, intelligent state awareness and real-time system feedback into a much more flexible production control environment.

And for sports and live events, the new 3Play Vivid was another major highlight.

It brings together the capabilities of previous 3Play generations in one platform, including:

• up to 8 replay inputs
• UHD 2160p60 production
• 10-bit SDR and HDR workflows
• shareable playlists across the production network
• built-in telestration
• playback zoom and tracking for critical moments
• IP and SDI connectivity
• on-premises or cloud deployment

One particularly interesting feature is the ability to share playlists with other 3Play and TriCaster systems, helping replay operators and production teams work together much faster during live events.

The direction is clear: fewer barriers between broadcast-quality production, IP workflows, AI, AR and real-time content creation.
