Starlink 2nd Generation installed in Lowton a couple of weeks ago. I prefer to use a Shelly clamp to secure a starlink dishy to a pole. A solid fixing that will cope with any extreme weather conditions.

Moved a dish in Standish today, due to trees obscuring signal. Dish was originally sited 5 rows of bricks lower than alarm panel on left pic. Perfect picture restored

From the 9th of October 2023 there will be engineering works on the Winter Hill transmitter. The works are planned for one week. During this time you may experience pixelation or flickering on your freeview tv channels. There is no need to try and retune your tv. Normal service will resume on completion of the works.

Here's a job I did a couple of years ago. Had to use a Sanus skeleton rack as the steel cupboard was already in place, the rack was literally shoehorned in there. The utility room was skimmed after the installation as the fit was so tight.

Centralised internet by moving BT from main house, Sky router fitted in rack, with gigabyte switch and 3 Ubiquiti Access points strategically located around 3 storey home, hardwired with Cat 6.

2 Cat 6 cables to 8 TV points, providing internet connection direct to each TV. Cat 6 to office and BT phone line for office landline. Second Cat 6 to each TV for TV distribution, coax to each TV via central amplifier for Freeview.

HD Anywhere 8 way Matrix for distribution of CCTV, Sky Q main box and 2 Sky mini boxes, delivering 4k and 1080P video and audio content from source equipment. Control of all source equipment can use Sky remote controls at any TV point, or HD Anywhere's Ucontrol from any Android or Iphone. Ucontrol integrates with Alexa for voice control too.

Hikvision 8 channel DVR and HD cameras. DVR located in locked steel cupboard at the side of the rack.

Making way for 5G mobile communications, a few freeview channels will be moved or deleted. The following article explains this.

In June, over a dozen Freeview channels will move or close, as an entire Freeview multiplex is closed to make way for 5G mobile services.

Do you have Hikvision cctv. Is the time always out of sync, has day light saving put the time out again?

I can fix this for you, providing your cctv has an Internet connection, the time can be constantly synced using NTP (network time protocol) and DST (daylight saving).
