​Most people assume a broken HDMI port is the only culprit, but the truth is a bit more complex.

​While the port is usually the winner, about 1% of the consoles we see at Gadget Surgery actually have a failing Panasonic HDMI Driver IC. If your screen is flickering or stuck in low resolution, it might not be the port at all!

We completely strip out all the parts, clean all vents, the fan, the heat sinks and get to the nook and crannies, once we've finished it's as good as NEW! here is one done recently. Xbox Series S, HDMI replaced by a local shop, customers been back 3 times to get it fixed now they want to charge her again! Let's see if we can do it properly! Thermal Paste was added later once the fix was tested.

PS5 Scuf controller repair. The fpc cable connector had a hairline crack running through it so I had to cut it and transplant another one on.
