What's "The Toolbox" I hear no one ask?

Well I'll tell you what the toolbox is - Link will be in the comments because Facebook reach reasons.

The toolbox is a new repository for utility tools from Abbey Bridge Consulting that are useful to me and I actually use myself therefore could be potentially useful to you too.

They tend to have a fun twist to them and the odd visual joke but generally the idea is to get a simple task done without all the fluff and crap.

Anyway follow the links for more info

A follow up to my previous rant about Clockify's rug pull, I built my own tool and I've been using it now with REAL DATA as part of my actual tracking, and billing processes!

I got annoyed with Clockify, so I built my own time tracker

DAAAANGERZOOOONNNEE!!
We've just added a new in house tool to our repository!
Simple time tracking app for client billing that works perfectly with our invoicing workflow, needed to migrate away after Clockify's recent rug pull.
The added benefit that we own our data!

No s**t just Loggin'

What Time Tracking apps is everyone using? Ideally with a desktop app to start & stop tracking and must have export functionality in the main app.

I was a fan of Clockify (ranticle in comments) until they removed all the features I actually used in my billing workflow.

I've tentatively moved to Toggl to try it out but even that wasn't smooth, the app feels buggy (common theme so far) but seemed to work after I completed their onboarding that I didn't need.

Let me know recommendations anyway.

Posting only about AI and dev can get boring at times.

So with a lighter tone today I figured I'd post about something different yet still somewhat technical.

My experience running Doom (Yes the game from 1993) mod Brutal DOOM on various Doom ports from my Non gaming machine Macbook and document some of the issues I ran into!

Let me know if you have experience in running Doom mods and any I should try out!

Simple web audits are essential for small businesses who manage their own websites. A basic DIY checklist helps you understand and improve your site without needing specialist skills, empowering you to spot issues and know what to fix or discuss with a pro. The checklist covers core areas like SEO (indexation, titles, meta descriptions, clean URLs, sitemaps, robots.txt, internal links, image alt text), performance (load speed, responsiveness, lazy loading, caching), and security (HTTPS, valid SSL, blocking sensitive files, strong passwords and backups). Each section explains why it matters, how to check it, and how to remediate common problems. This practical, low-effort approach gives small teams a structured way to improve visibility, usability, and trust online.
