Yesterday, Deans Computer Services had the pleasure of attending the Harrogate Grammar School Careers Fair, an inspiring event that brought together students, parents, and local employers to explore future opportunities.
👩💻 Engaging with Students and Parents
Throughout the evening, Barry Rankin (Sales Director) and Adam Findlay (Technical Director) met with a wide range of students and their families, discussing the exciting and ever-evolving world of IT solutions and software. We explained the breadth of our role as a trusted IT provider — covering everything from managed services and cloud solutions to cybersecurity and software development.
🎓 Highlighting Accreditations and Apprenticeships
One of the most rewarding aspects of the fair was sharing details about the student accreditations recommended for a career in IT and apprenticeship schemes. These pathways provide young people with the chance to gain hands-on experience, earn industry-recognised qualifications, and build a career in technology. It was encouraging to see so much enthusiasm from students eager to learn more about how they can start their journey in IT.

The Careers Fair was extremely well attended, and we were kept busy throughout the day answering questions, offering guidance, and sparking conversations about the future of technology. The level of interest shown by students and parents alike was a testament to the growing importance of IT in every sector.
