Eigen was formed in 2007 following the successful delivery of a series of complex integration projects for an oil major in the Caspian. Key to the success of the projects was the multi-disciplined nature of the team, incorporating experience in technology delivery in the hi-tech industry in Silicon Valley, California. At that time the concept
of “The Digital Oilfield of the Future” (ref. CERA research paper) was gaining traction and all major oil & gas companies had a programme. We had managed to build a unique cross-disciplinary team: engineers that understood computers and cyber security, telecoms engineers that understood operations and IT experts that understood engineering. We had to keep this team together. We did, and we’ve been continuing to push forward the capabilities delivered and attracting great people ever since. Our Philosophy
You’ll never remove the need for good people, and applications won’t replace engineers. If we can get the data to the people that need it then they can do some great things with it. If we can make it really easy for them to get the data and save them time by automating repetitive tasks, then they can spend even more of their time doing useful things. What our systems will do is get the data to your people, and give your people access to key systems so that they can apply their knowledge. We have really smart people too. And they really like working with other smart people, and when they get the chance we find that together they come up with some really great ideas.
