A wild weekend & a very different this year with damp days & Super Saturday cancelled due to high winds. The weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the crew on site, it’s still a fantastic fun-packed festival! So now that the sun (and rain & wind!) has set on glorious , it brings to a close a busy first half of 2023.
We’re more than ready for a break before preparation for September starts!

Like many event professionals we rarely take the time to congratulate ourselves on a job well done. As the team behind the scenes sitting behind a set, in a store room or tucked away at the back of the venue you probably won’t even notice us unless there’s a problem. That’s why when a client praises the effort that the crew has put in to contribute to a fantastic project and takes the time to say thanks, we thought we’d shout about it! Well done team!

Throwing it back to this time last year & to one of the most fun jobs we’ve been involved in! We supported one of our long standing clients with full technical production for their company festival. An 8m mobile stage, .acoustics.official Kara PA system with CL mixers at FOH & monitors with IEM system & assorted microphone packages for the numerous bands on the day & not forgetting a DJ set up too! A 50 fixture lighting rig completed the technical elements with moving heads, led battens & led wash lights all controlled from an console. Add in a few special effects to bring a bit of sparkle to the evening, and a great time was had by all! Can’t wait for the next one!

Keeping our work varied again! Last week saw the team partnering with clients from the hospitality sector for the second ashes test at . We had crew on site throughout the event providing audio, video & I.T. support for live feeds, presentations & guest appearances. Not the result England wanted but a very successful event for Lumiq-Live & our clients! Next up, another outdoor event, .

It’s bring your dog to work day today & here’s a couple of the paw-some pooches basking in the summer sun outside the office! We’re lucky here that every day is bring your dog to work day…well, on the days we’re not on site anyway!
Many scientific studies have concluded that the presence of pets can substantially reduce a person’s stress level in the workplace. Increased job satisfaction, team co-operation and morale have all been reported in employees that spend the workday with their pets.

Day one of Infosecurity Europe at ExCeL London & what a start it’s been! Great to be on site providing technical support to the dream team at , with multiple stands across the show floor with LED videowalls & an assortment of AV & IT equipment it’s certainly keeping the standby crew on their toes!

After a manic May back in the U.K. it’s nice to be posting from Paris! We’re back on site at old favourite Salon International de l’Aéronautique et de l'Espace - Paris Air Show for our last European event of this run before we take a well earned rest! Still a couple of high profile jobs to go before we get to that point though including a long overdue return to stunning for the annual .

It's Global Exhibitions Day! The team at are proud to recognise & celebrate this day & this amazing industry that is so vital to the world’s economic growth and recovery. Generating over £11bn annually just in the U.K. & supporting over 100,000 U.K. jobs, there really is nothing like it! And what better way to spend a day celebrating exhibitions than being on-site at iconic London venue, !

It’s not all about the big jobs! Sometimes it’s as simple as a single screen, sometimes it’s multiple screens! Whatever it is, it’s been great to be on-site collaborating with agencies & contractors delivering our first class service no matter where or what.

The Lumiq-Live Euro tour picks up pace over the next few months as we continue our run of shows in the aerospace & defence sector. From Bordeaux to Bonn & Rotterdam to Rostock, we’ll be on site across Europe supporting both new & long standing exhibition clients. First stop, the sunny South of France!
