A severe exploit campaign is currently underway, targeting a vulnerability in WooCommerce Payments, a plugin used by over 600,000 sites. The campaign began on July 14, 2023, and heightened over the weekend, with a staggering 1.3 million attacks against 157K sites registered this past Saturday.

Unsanctioned attackers are gaining administrative privileges on compromised websites, a security concern so critical it scored a 9.8 on the CVSS scale. We saw this coming, as it confirms our previous forecasts of large-scale attacks.
