Public safety teams should never have to think about whether the network will hold up.

Officers in the field, paramedics on call, control room operators coordinating multi-agency responses, all need connectivity that simply works, every time, regardless of what is happening in the wider telecoms market.

That is what genuine resilience looks like.

Networks designed so that no single provider outage, no single fault, no single incident can take the service offline.

The result is not a better network. It is a service that keeps running when it matters most.

Three questions every emergency services leader should be putting to their network team this quarter.

One, if our main provider had a national outage tomorrow, would we stay connected.

Two, can our officers, paramedics, and control room staff reach the systems they need from any location, every time.

Three, when did we last actually test our failover, rather than assume it works.

The answers reveal whether resilience is genuinely in place, or just on paper.

TNP participated in the St John's Hospice Charity Challenge, a 40-day event in which we pledged to raise at least £500 in support of our local hospice. We had so much fun getting involved in fundraising for this great cause. Prizes were won, cakes were eaten, kilometres were cycled, and miles were hiked.

TNP Staff managed to raise an absolutely astounding amount of £1,627.00 - an incredible achievement which saw us more than triple our original goal of £500.00. This amazing achievement was then doubled by TNP agreeing to match fund our efforts, bringing our grand total to an unbelievable £3,254.00!

We are currently number one on the Charity Challenge leaderboard. St John’s will be crowning the winners on the 30th June at the Charity Challenge Celebration Event. Will we hold on to the top spot and win the coveted charity challenge crown? Fingers crossed!

Thank you to everybody for getting involved and for your incredible generosity!

Most public sector organisations believe they have a backup network in place.

A primary line and a secondary line, contracted resilience, a plan on paper.

But ask one question: are both lines delivered by the same provider, travelling through the same exchange, sharing the same physical route at any point.

If the answer is yes, that is not redundancy.

It is one outage waiting to take the whole service down.

For emergency services, where a national carrier outage can disable both lines at once, the difference is operational, not theoretical.

Two recent Fortinet awards have shone a light on our Security Operations practice. The credentials behind them have been built quietly and consistently over many years.

For UK public sector organisations, security operations is not a discretionary capability. It underpins frontline services, protects sensitive data, and keeps critical systems available in the face of evolving cyber threats. It needs to be done well, and it needs to be done by a partner that understands the operational, regulatory, and budgetary realities of the sector.

This is where TNP focuses.

🔵 Fortinet Security Operations Partner of the Year at both UK & Ireland and Northern EMEA level, recognising customer success, innovation, and technical excellence.
🔵 Five Fortinet Engage specialisations, including SecOps, supported by a deeply certified engineering team.
🔵 Engage Tech Support Partner (ETSP) status — one of a small number of Fortinet partners in the UK with this accreditation, providing customers with fast-track support and continuous expert collaboration.
🔵 Selection for an exclusive EMEA SASE programme, reflecting alignment with Fortinet's long-term SecOps and SASE direction.
🔵 A track record across local government, healthcare, emergency services, and education, where availability, compliance, and resilience are non-negotiable.

We don't rely on any single technology or vendor. We design networks and security operations that are fit for purpose, reduce risk, support compliance, and provide the long-term stability public services depend on.

If security operations are on your agenda, our team is here to talk.

Securely connecting the public sector.

When a 999 call comes in, every second of the response depends on a network that does not stop.

Dispatch, intelligence checks, real-time data in the field, communication between agencies.

If the network goes down, the response slows, and the consequences can be measured in lives.

For emergency services, connectivity is not a back-office concern.

It is part of the front line.

That is why the way a network is designed for resilience matters as much as the people working on it.

Government networks need to operate continuously, but that does not mean teams need to.

With the right level of automation and monitoring, local authorities can achieve 24/7 network oversight without requiring 24/7 staffing.

This reduces pressure on internal teams while maintaining visibility, control, and resilience across critical infrastructure.

A practical approach to improving performance within real-world public sector constraints.

Two Fortinet Partner of the Year Awards for TNP

A strong few weeks for the TNP team, with recognition from Fortinet at both a global and UK level.

At Fortinet Accelerate 26 in Las Vegas, Fortinet's global conference, TNP was named Security Operations Partner of the Year for Northern EMEA, recognising customer success, innovation, and technical excellence in security operations across the region.

Last week, at the Fortinet Channel Awards held at the Banking Hall in London, TNP was named Fabric Partner of the Year for the UK, reflecting the depth of our work across the Fortinet Security Fabric and the long-standing relationships we have built within the partner community.

Two awards, on two continents, recognising the same thing: the expertise and commitment of the whole TNP team to delivering meaningful outcomes for our public sector clients.

A few of the reasons behind the recognition:

Outstanding customer success and technical excellence in security operations across Northern EMEA.

Deep alignment with Fortinet's SecOps and SASE vision, with five Engage specialisations and selection for an exclusive EMEA SASE programme.

Sustained growth and meaningful public sector impact, including high-value engagements across local government, healthcare, and national genomics.
We're a trusted long-term partner to UK public sector organisations, offering clear advice, dependable delivery, and the ongoing support critical public services depend on. Awards like these reinforce that the approach is working.

Thank you to Fortinet, to our customers, and to every member of the TNP team who made this happen.

For local authorities, network issues rarely present with a clear root cause.

Without proper visibility, teams spend valuable time diagnosing problems rather than resolving them.

Automated root-cause analysis provides clarity. It identifies issues faster, reduces downtime, and helps ensure critical public services remain available.

This is not a technical improvement. It is essential for operational continuity in government environments.
