Poor communication is estimated to cost over £8,000 per employee each year in lost productivity for average sized businesses.

If there's one thing to take from that stat, it's this:

Your employees are not always necessarily to blame for productivity.

Sure, it would be great if the water cooler gossiping happened a little less often.

But there are a number of other factors contributing to losses in productivity that you can control.

Poor communication is the big one.

Information is fragmented and time is lost as employees switch from Slack to email, troubleshoot video calls, and search for customer complaints.

Those inefficiencies can easily be solved with Unified Communications platforms, which store all inbound communications onto one single platform.

Want to know the value of communication technology in one simple example?

Let’s say I collate six months of data on my sales calls and discover that ‘James’ was making 60 calls and converting 30% of prospects.

Everyone else was making 40 calls and only converting 10%.

James is evidently the best salesperson on the team. That’s the facts.

Given this information, we could set up a communication system that automatically reroutes highest value prospects to James.

So now when a high value prospect calls, we have a 3x higher chance of converting it than if it went to someone else…

During the lockdown, 1 in 3 small business employees in the UK said they felt like their technology setup was holding them back. (Source: Computer Weekly) 😲

Let's explain why...

The problem isn't that businesses are not bringing in new technology.

Many managers have already tried to bring in the 'next best things'.

The problem is that:

1. New technology is rarely integrated into existing processes and company norms. This can leave company infrastructure/operations feeling confusing, unconnected and convoluted ❓

2. Few employees know WHY new technology is brought in.

(According to BT, 48% of employees don't know the purpose of collaborative tools)

There's no surprise that teams feel a sense that their technology isn't improving efficacy.

So...

To take your team into the future, you NEED to make sure they're comfortable with what they are using, why they're using it and how it helps their wider activities🚀

Make sure they're informed and educated every step of the way.

I've always been dedicated to helping teams I work with build efficacy through educating them and framing their understanding of what new technology can do FOR THEM.

That way they see higher rates of happiness and NOTHING holds their teams back.

Whether you’re a start-up or a multinational company,

Simple, organised and efficient communications are essential for running a business successfully in the 21st century.

We receive information from many sources at the same time, via many different mediums.

The data-streams moving into our brain are endless.

And the more information we receive, the more difficult it can be to structure and organise our lives and prioritise tasks.

But effective communication can help provide us with clarity regarding strategies, goals, values and instructions.

We become more organised and work with direction.

Each individual fits in with the processes that make a more functional whole.

In the constantly evolving and dynamic environment we live in, the importance of digital communication can never be downplayed...

We're 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

The pandemic has been an unsettling time for many people and businesses.

Whenever change comes along, it's always going to feel disordered. The pandemic has instilled new habits and values in all of us.

For one, it's reminded us about the importance of our health and of spending every moment doing something worthwhile.

It's encouraged me to spend more time with my family and cherishing hilarious moments with my friends and do something for the community.

That's why we're 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 to help business owners and families take more control of their lives, so that they can spend less time being distracted by pointless communications.

People think that telecommunications is just about selling expensive products. That might be for some but for me, it's about protecting the preciousness of life from destructive distractions.

As part of my mission, our founder Jim Roper is offering a free 1-on-1 strategy session to discuss how you can start to take back control of your lives and not let technology control you, your business and ultimately your family.
