Tonight’s ceremony at Homerton College, Cambridge is a chance to step away from our usual, busy routines to celebrate our staff and reflect on why we do what we do.

However with an incredible 730 nominations submitted this year, we know our finalists represent just some examples of the incredible work, showcasing our trust values, that happens across Royal Papworth every single day.

Meet Jadwiga, a healthcare support worker in our critical care team.

She consistently demonstrates exceptional compassion and professionalism in her role, providing comfort and support to patients and her critical care colleagues.

Her commitment to patient care has made a significant impact, whether that be providing high level care, just saying ‘hello’, or holding someone's hand to comfort them in their time of need.

Jad is an excellent role model for new starters, not only for her clinical skills, but her work ethic and the inclusivity she demonstrates in her everyday practice.

She demonstrates compassion, empathy and dedication that goes beyond her normal call of duty.

She is always willing to help the team and always have a positive attitude and professionalism in work environment.

💙 Help bring Daniel home 💙

In November 2022, 13-year-old Daniel was rushed to the hospital with worsening flu-like symptoms. That visit turned into a year-long battle after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He has endured multiple surgeries, a stroke, months in intensive care, and ongoing chemotherapy. Since that day, Daniel hasn’t been able to return home, as his current house can’t meet his complex medical needs.

His family is raising £100,000 to secure and adapt a home so Daniel can continue his recovery surrounded by loved ones.

Last week we had our first company meeting for 2024 at Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa, Leeds.

Our conversations focused on the significant insights gathered in 2023, setting the path for strategic plans to handle 2024. Each member contributed a distinct perspective, building our collective vision for the future. We also took a moment to shine a light on the outstanding contributions of our employees through the Celerity Recognition Awards. 🏆

To cap off the day, we enjoyed a three-course dinner before immersing ourselves in an evening of intrigue and fun with GOTO Events Murder Mystery🔍
