Some people will have seen the new mural at the end of our high street but when was the last time you visited Kirkcaldy Galleries? They have lots of local history and art, it's free, it's on our doorstep and it's something a bit different. Worth a visit even if just for a quick look around.

Just when we thought we couldn't love all things linoleum more than we already do, then this happens 😍

🚑🖥️ Open-heart surgery at Print it Stitch it this week…
Our main workhorse PC has been on the operating table after developing a habit of continually crashing. After a bit of investigating, the old graphics card appears to have been the culprit, so rather than replacing the whole machine, we decided to see if we could bring the old girl back to life.
New graphics card ✅
New fan ✅
A very overdue deep clean ✅
Approximately half a print shop’s worth of dust and fibres removed ✅

Running computers in a print and embroidery shop isn’t exactly the cleanest environment. Between garment fibres, paper dust and everything else floating around, they definitely get a harder life than your average office computer.
This particular PC was custom built over nine years ago and has been our flagship machine for most of that time. Before we moved to custom-built PCs, we seemed to burn through computers every year or two, so this one has more than earned its keep.

Thankfully, even though it’s been out of action for over a week, customer production hasn’t been affected. We have a second custom-built workstation, and because our customer files are stored separately on an SSD, we were able to move the drive across and carry on working with very little disruption.

There’s probably a business lesson in there somewhere too: sometimes you don’t need to replace something just because it develops a fault. If it’s been built well in the first place, it can be worth repairing what you already have.
And apparently running a print shop now also requires learning how to diagnose graphics cards, buy PC components and work out which tiny cable plugs into which tiny socket. 😂

Special mention to Kirsty’s boyfriend, whose mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge came in very handy when it was time to actually fit the new graphics card. Team effort. 😂🔧

Fingers crossed, she’s now ready for another few years of artwork, embroidery files, print queues and abuse. 🤞🖥️

Turns out we’re officially pretty good at this whole printing & embroidery thing… 👀🏆

Print it Stitch it has been named SME news Branded Workwear & Garment Decoration Specialist of the Year 2026 – Scotland

After 13 years of printing, stitching, pressing, designing, fixing artwork, answering “can you do this by Friday?” and occasionally performing miracles… it’s pretty special to have the work recognised.

A massive thank you to our team, and of course to every customer, business, club and organisation who continues to trust us with their branding.

We will be breaking off for our Summer Break today 😊
We will be contacting all our customers with orders still to be collected today, we don't have any space for any more orders before we break off but we are taking orders to be complete on our return.

WE’RE HIRING! 🎨📱 We’re looking for a Part-Time Design, Production & Digital Marketing Assistant to join our creative team at Print it Stitch it.

This role would suit someone interested in graphic design, marketing, social media, content creation, print production and working in a busy creative environment.

The role includes helping with:
• Design and artwork preparation
• Print and production tasks
• Taking photos and videos of products, orders and behind-the-scenes work
• Creating social media content
• Marketing ideas and campaigns
• Updating product/order information
• Customer enquiries and general shop duties
• Organising stock, finishing, packing and checking orders

Full training will be provided, but we’re looking for someone reliable, creative, organised and willing to learn.

This is a part-time role, with the opportunity for the right person to work towards a Digital Marketing Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF Level 7 and potentially increase hours in the future.

WE’RE HIRING! 🎨✨ We’re looking for a Part-Time After-School Worker / Production Assistant to join our small creative team at Print it Stitch it.

This role would be ideal for someone who is interested in design, art, graphics, marketing or print production and would like to gain experience in a busy creative workplace.

Hours:
Approx. 2 days per week, Around 2 hours per day, After-school hours
Additional hours may be available in the future

The role will include helping with cleaning, organising stock, preparing orders, finishing production jobs, packing orders and supporting the team with general shop tasks.

Full training will be provided we’re looking for someone reliable, organised, positive and willing to learn.

There may also be scope for this role to lead to a Modern Apprenticeship opportunity in the future.
