2024 Done! 2025 Inbound…

And that’s another year done. 2024 has flown by so fast; it’s been a busy year. From consulting on a live stream for BAE’s launch ceremony to launching a unique social value app in Wakefield, we have worked on some fantastic projects with our incredible clients, both new and old. As the festive weeks approach, we would like to thank our amazing clients for their constant challenges and for keeping us on the cutting edge of digital media. We will be taking some time off over the Christmas break (from 19th December 2024 to 6th January 2025), but we look forward to more exciting projects in 2025.

What is this design aesthetic?
Ever wondered about the unique, cutting-edge designs we showcase? Dive into the fascinating world of design history, technology, and creativity that shapes our work at REAL DESIGN.

From the inspiration of the Bauhaus movement and its random yet intentional artistic process to the Y2K era’s bold, futuristic aesthetic, our journey is deeply rooted in design evolution. But here’s the twist: we’ve taken it further, merging art with code.

Starting in the 2000s, we created a custom tool using Flash, inspired by Joshua Davis, to generate one-of-a-kind artwork. By loading assets and using code to randomize positioning, scale, and color, we craft layouts that are truly unique—each click of refresh a new masterpiece.

And while technology has moved forward, we still cherish the magic of our vintage tools. We’ve even written modern HTML5 and 3DS MAX scripts to keep the innovation alive, creating 3D and video elements with the same passion for randomness and precision.
