We had a great day last week in London for the Bingo Association AGM. Always a useful networking event, it was lovely to catch up with so many customers over lunch and drinks. Some excellent guest speakers in the afternoon included Chris Sanger and Peter Arnold of EY who outlined some fascinating insights into the UK’s financial outlook. Matthew Phillips of DCMS and Sarah Gardner of the Gambling Commission summarised the regulatory landscape, Stephen Lacey of The Outsiders presented results of an excellent survey of retail bingo players, Leon Emirali of Nostrada AI gave a fascinating talk about the possibilities of AI in bingo, and Aubrey Allegretti of The Times gave an interesting overview of the UK political situation.
A poignant event too as it was the formal farewell to Chief Executive Miles Baron, retiring after 13 years at the helm, and an official welcome to incoming CEO Nicole Garrett.
As always, great to catch up with everyone and look forward to the upcoming BA Golf Day in June, as well as the November Roadshow in Leeds.
