We’re pleased to share that Designworks is now a Certified B Corporation, with a verified B Impact Score of 107.5.

B Corp certification recognises businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. With a minimum qualifying score of 80, achieving 107.5 reflects our long-term commitment to responsible business practice and continuous improvement.

For us, this certification formalises principles that have shaped our business since 2007. It strengthens how we support our team and community, reduce environmental impact, and build responsible long-term partnerships with clients and suppliers.

As a branding and web development agency, we work with organisations that want to create meaningful, lasting impact through thoughtful design, clear communication and sustainable digital delivery.

We’re proud to join B Corp UK and B Corp U.S. & Canada, and look forward to continuing to improve the way we work for our clients, community and the environment.

This Sunday, Rory, director of Designworks, will once again take on the Wheelbase Fred Whitton Challenge and was genuinely honoured to be given rider number 1 this year.

It’s a really thoughtful gesture and reflects Designworks' continued support for the event and the charities it benefits, including Macmillan Cancer Support, North West Air Ambulance Charity plus other charitable causes and cycling projects.

Rory first rode the Fred Whitton back in 2005, meaning this year marks 21 years since his first attempt at one of the toughest and most respected cycling challenges in the UK.

This year the route has been slightly altered, with a diversion up The Struggle making it six miles shorter than usual. After narrowly missing out over the last three years, Rory is hoping the reduced distance might finally help him achieve a sub-six-hour finish.

Good luck to everyone taking part and looking forward to another day riding around the Lakes.

Blue is back! 🐾

Following feedback after the launch of our new website, Blue has returned to the Team page.

He was briefly removed as dogs aren’t permitted in the office, so technically he’s no longer part of the day-to-day office team. That said, he still plays an important role from the home office, where he keeps Leonie company from the comfort of his sofa.

You can meet Blue and the rest of the team here:

We’re pleased to share the launch of the new website for the ENOS European Network Outdoor Sport The platform presents clearer navigation, improved resources and a structure that supports their work in promoting responsible outdoor activity across Europe.

The timing aligns well with this week’s Kendal Mountain Festival an event that highlights the value of outdoor culture and community. It’s a fitting moment to release a project centred on access to nature, collaboration and sustainable practice.

We appreciate the partnership with the ENOS team and look forward to seeing how the site supports their network in the months ahead.

We’re proud to announce the launch of a new website for , a UK charity raising awareness of altruistic kidney donation. The redesigned site delivers a cleaner, more modern experience for users and reflects the charity’s life-changing mission with clarity and impact.

Here's the client's feedback 🙏

"Lovely team to work with; found a solution to help redesign our website with a restricted budget yet produce a great design and UX. Thanks to Rory and Martin for all of their help."

Yesterday we rode with cycling legend Jens Voigt from Kendal to Kirkstone Pass, joining him on the Lancaster to Carlisle stage of LEGOJ.

Jens is known worldwide for his mantra ‘Shut up Legs’, a phrase he coined during his pro career to push through pain. With foresight, he trademarked the phrase, and today it’s a brand recognised across the cycling world.

He rode in the Tour de France 17 times, a testament to his toughness and longevity in the sport. It was fantastic to meet him in person, he went out of his way to take time for a chat, a laugh, and to encourage every cyclist around him.

A great day in the saddle, shared with a sporting hero. ❤️ 🚴

We’ve launched a new website for Giving Hope, a Community Interest Company working to minimise the trauma experienced by mothers who are separated from their babies due to safeguarding concerns.

Underpinned by the Born into Care research series led by Giving Hope works to raise awareness and promote trauma-informed, compassionate practice to help ensure that, wherever it is safe, babies remain with their families. With the new website, Giving Hope’s work has expanded into training practitioners and supporting families facing separation.

The site provides the CIC with a branded digital presence, clean design, streamlined navigation and full mobile responsiveness. Built to support Giving Hope’s goals, it makes it easy for users to learn about their work and get involved.

Jennride 2025 — 100 miles. 15.5 hours. Over 33 climbs including Kirkstone, Raise and Stakes Pass.

The weather, as well as the terrain, was a challenge with heat, wind, rain, thunder and lightning to test our resolve.

A brutal and beautiful day out on the bike and all for a good cause.
