We were proud to support Wheels for All, with our director, Rory, joining the 'We Ride Together North' challenge.

Ian, Paul and Nick put in an outstanding effort on the adapted trike, completing a demanding route from Kendal to Carlisle that included the climb over Shap summit.

Today, the team continues from Carlisle to Newcastle, supported by Tomcat SNI Ltd and VanRaam UK

The challenge is raising vital funds to help more people experience the freedom, independence and enjoyment that inclusive cycling can provide.

We recently completed the branding and website for the ISPO Impact Foundation, a new initiative created to support charities and non-profits working in nature conservation, environmental protection, and inclusive access to outdoor recreation and sport.

The foundation has just closed its first round of funding, receiving 495 applications from 79 countries.

That is a significant response for an organisation that, six weeks earlier, most people had never heard of.

Our role was to create a clear, credible brand and website to support the foundation’s launch. The website needed to explain the mission, introduce the funding opportunity, guide applicants through the process and provide a platform for future news, impact stories and governance information.

We are pleased to have supported the ISPO Impact Foundation at such an important stage in its development.

It was an honour to be part of the judging panel for Kendal College Arts & Media Campus end-of-year show.

The standard of work across all the student displays was extremely high, which is a real credit to the students and to the teaching staff at Kendal College who have clearly supported and challenged them throughout the year.

Congratulations to Kate Wood for her excellent rebrand of the ice hockey team Manchester Storm. Kate presented a strong and well-considered concept, showing her ideas and thought process clearly alongside the final logo applied across a range of branded items, including a particularly impressive branded changing room locker.

A very inspiring show and a pleasure to be involved.

This Sunday, Rory, director of Designworks, will once again take on the Wheelbase Fred Whitton Challenge and was genuinely honoured to be given rider number 1 this year.

It’s a really thoughtful gesture and reflects Designworks' continued support for the event and the charities it benefits, including Macmillan Cancer Support, North West Air Ambulance Charity plus other charitable causes and cycling projects.

Rory first rode the Fred Whitton back in 2005, meaning this year marks 21 years since his first attempt at one of the toughest and most respected cycling challenges in the UK.

This year the route has been slightly altered, with a diversion up The Struggle making it six miles shorter than usual. After narrowly missing out over the last three years, Rory is hoping the reduced distance might finally help him achieve a sub-six-hour finish.

Good luck to everyone taking part and looking forward to another day riding around the Lakes.

Blue is back! 🐾

Following feedback after the launch of our new website, Blue has returned to the Team page.

He was briefly removed as dogs aren’t permitted in the office, so technically he’s no longer part of the day-to-day office team. That said, he still plays an important role from the home office, where he keeps Leonie company from the comfort of his sofa.

The 1st April marks 19 years of Designworks.

We’re pleased to share the launch of the new website for the ENOS European Network Outdoor Sport The platform presents clearer navigation, improved resources and a structure that supports their work in promoting responsible outdoor activity across Europe.

The timing aligns well with this week’s Kendal Mountain Festival an event that highlights the value of outdoor culture and community. It’s a fitting moment to release a project centred on access to nature, collaboration and sustainable practice.
