On the 23rd of April every year the people of Catalonia celebrate the day of their patron saint, Sant Jordi. It is a very popular festival that combines World Book Day and Valentine’s Day, and sees the giving and receiving of books and roses with loved ones. For our team in Barcelona it was no different, we hosted a celebration in the office giving our people bookmarks and roses to mark the occasion. Here are some photos from the day.

We recently launched our brand new CSR strategy, The Bigger Game, and two of our core pillars within it are to look after our planet and our communities! So, here we are doing our bit to reduce the litter in two of our office locations, in Ipswich and Barcelona. During our recent Wellness Fest we ran a challenge to encourage our employees to stay active and get moving. Rather than reward people who went the further we simply asked people to try and do more than they normally would. Rob has worked with many people across all walks of life and through the concept of recoding has proven it possible to overcome any adversity that is thrown your way. As a huge believer in optimism, Rob’s ethos is that you can fix crisis to opportunity and allow for great growth within yourself, your mind and the life that is ahead of you. Although we are coming close to the end of our Derivco Sports Wellness Fest, we still have plenty of exciting opportunities for our employees to get involved with. Today we invited Martine Wright to our main stage. Martine is the most injured survivor, losing both legs, in the Circle line bombing during the 2005 terrorist attacks in London. Since that life-changing day, Martine has skydived, learned to fly, become a wife, mother, captain of the British Paralympic Sitting volleyball team, Ambassador, Patron, an inspirational and motivational speaker, and much more! During Martine’s inspiring talk she shared her story alongside her beliefs, which included her own Power of 7. A massive thanks to both Martine, and all of our other acts that helped make today another great day of wellness!
