Another reminder Recorded Optical Discs are failing, especially cheap crappy ones

These have appalling DiscRot

Combination of crappy blanks, ink eating the polycarbonate & these awful sleeves. They Out Gas & hold moisture, dreadful things. BIN EM!

Look very closely & you can see where the ink on the label side has eaten through the Disc Data Layer

No Computer Drive I tried could read them. Back to the trusty old Denon

Don’t see many VHS-C Jobs, considering how many were sold. Then they come flooding in

Pile of Tapes, some in poor condition with chews & sticky marks. Repair of some snapped ones for a fellow archivist. Fiddly things they are

Finally seen MCR21 in the flesh

Beautifully restored BBC Outside Broadcast Van from 1963

The crew MCR21 - a 1960s TV Mobile Control Room have done a superb job so far with meticulous attention to detail, restoration to original spec

Theres even a Pye Camera from the 1966 World Cup

Lovely day out at Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre

I need a known, good, working, NTSC Tape
Can anyone out there help?
