Grundig EN3 Transcription Job

All done & Digitised. Tape contained a Wedding, Recorded in the late 60s. Treasured memories

These are very rare & I’ve only done a handful over the years

1965 Dictation System. 1/4” Tape. Double Sided Cartridge, approx 20 - 25 mins ish Run Time. I say “ish” as no two machines ran at the same speed & as its Rim Drive the speed varies as the Tape progresses.

We can Digitise & Recover most Dictation Formats, Inc Micro Cassette, Mini Cassette, Pico Cassette, EN3, Philips & Grundig Carts & Tapes, Dictabelts etc

If there was ever a good example to not trust your Video Tapes to just anyone, especially those cockwombles who use AI generated Ads, here it is

There are so many mistakes in this AI Slop, it’s hard to know where to start

I hate AI, but those that use it unchecked are equally to blame

There’s so much wrong, I didn’t even notice the incorrectly wound VHS at first, or “computter program” on the Video8, sorry I mean Betamax. Its painful, awful, Slop

See, I shouldn’t be let out, even with Nursie

MTV Karaoke Machine with CRT was still in Chazza, now Reduced to £10
Yep of course I did

Combination of CRT & Integral CD-G Playback, too much for an Old Geek

As I’d hoped, it supports full CD-Graphics Playback, also has AV In & Out, will connect it up to screen at some point

Tried a normal CD-G to check compatibility
Was worth a tenner for the MTV Microphone
Has its original Karaoke CD-G Disc. It’s all glorious Old Tat

Just a quick test for now

CD Ephemera from my Studio Days

CD Stampers from Nimbus, Wales
This one is CD-i Audio, an 8 Hour Back Ground Music, Green Book Disc
Smooth Pop - 96 Tracks
Nimbus were great, supplying Spare Stampers for later Repressing. Blue Disc is unused
In the early days we sent 8 DATs, 1 for each ‘Band’ on the CD-i, they created a Master

Label Template from Disctronics Southwater

Both Factories were excellent back in day as they could Master, not many could

Merch from Phone Co Reps

Nokia 7110 Dry Wipe Board
Guess the idea was to show off the huge (for its time) Screen. Snake all day IYKYK
Contrary to popular belief, the 7110 was NOT The Matrix Phone, that was a Film Prop modified 8110 & never commercial available
