It's been another very busy few days, with laptop battery replacements, (where we offered the customer the option to upgrade the battery size for extra use...)

Offering around a 30% increase in battery performance!

Providing a technical report to support a warranty claim for a hardware failure...

We also stepped in to help a client with a DIY case swap that got a bit tricky. PC building has a steep learning curve, and we’re always happy to be the safety net to fix those delicate components and get things running safely!

Unfortunately, some of the damage led to a motherboard failure, but we can handle that 🙂

And here's the finished product. Repaired, tested, tuned, and ready to go for another happy customer 🙂

A nice simple job is always welcome 🙂 This laptop suffered a failed hard drive... Replaced with a new super fast SSD, and equipped with a fresh install of Windows 11. (Without all the bloatware...) 😊

Anyone getting TRON movie vibes?? This PC is having wireless cooling fans installed... yes, you read that right... WIRELESS! These are the Lian-Li SL Wireless fans, and yes they do need to be wired for power, but lighting and fan speed is controlled wirelessly!

This customer had unfortunately been a victim of a scam where an advert disguised as a "Firewall issue" is displayed, accompanied by a very loud beeping sound, and a telephone number to call.

Unfortunately, this ultimately resulted in the scammer gaining access to the laptop via remote connection.

This is something we're seeing more often within the last few months, and in this case, the scammer had also installed a "silent" back door access method (the item highlighted in blue on the 3rd image) which would allow them to connect remotely and even open the we**am without you knowing!

Fortunately, we were able to track and remove each malicious change and restore the laptop back to it's former state, resulting in another happy customer 😊

Our advice - Please never call a telephone number that has randomly appeared on your screen. And if you have been a victim of a scam, we're here to help get you back on track.

This newly built high-end custom gaming PC was running hot, with only 1 of 4 case fans working!

This one wasn't built by us, but our customer asked us to take a look and solve any problems that we found along the way.

Unfortunately, many of the motherboard screws were either the wrong size or missing which had caused damage to the board itself. There were also a number of cables that had been used incorrectly, memory configuration running at default speeds, and a CPU cooler simply wasn't up to the job of cooling this high-end CPU.

We stripped eveything back, installed motherboard standoffs in the correct places, secured with the correct screws, and replaced the entire cooling system with a Corsair iCUE Link system, including a Titan AIO cooler. Instead of 95+ degrees and thermal throttling, this system now runs much cooler and far quieter, whilst consistently delivering maximum performance 👌🏼

A PC that looks great, and performs even better 😊 Another happy customer 👍🏻
