MARATHON EFFORT: Our General Manager Louise Drysdale is going on the run – to raise money for an excellent charity Child Bereavement UK which is close to many people’s hearts

Louise, who joined us in 2017, is currently training for the Dorney Lake Half Marathon on Sunday, October 8 at the Buckinghamshire venue which hosted the London Olympics rowing events.

She says: “I am so excited to start a new challenge! This year I made a list of goals I would like to achieve, one was a 10k which I managed in April, so I set a new goal to complete a half marathon.

“I will be spending the next few months training in preparation for the big day so any motivation along the way would be appreciated.

“I decided that I would utilise the opportunity to do some good in the work and I would like to raise money for charity. I thank you now for any donations you are able to give.”

Child Bereavement UK helps parents and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. It also provides training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

We are excited to annouce we have a new director – welcome to Susan Warden-Owen, who will be helping us steer future business development.

Sue is a familiar face at iWaste, having been working with us in a consultancy role since 2016.

The experienced managing director, NED and management consultant has joined our board as a non-executive director.

She says: “I am delighted to now be joining the board. They are exceptional guys – they listen, implement, are agile and very hard working and are an absolute joy to work with.”

Our founder and director Sam Prentice added: “We look forward to continuing to work closely with Sue. We value her advice and wise counsel hugely and she is an incredible asset who we are fortunate to have.”
