This baffles me... I have visited at least 4 local websites this week without an SSL certificate. Most users will see this message below, and around 80% will leave before even entering the website! And yet, it is only a 5 minute job that will communicate your website as "safe" to users, search engines and browsers, resulting in more traffic. A no brainer!

What further confuses me is that I have reported this to a few local businesses to help them, with no incentive to get me to do the work, just to help another local person and the change does not happen even after months in some cases.

Do you come across this? Or is it just me?

Feeling the heat? 🥵 I thought you may all want to see something cold, think cool thoughts, think cool thoughts. In six months it will be Christmas Eve, which is crazy to think about, which always puts my mind to Nottingham Winter Wonderland. A website that I created in multiple designs and managed for many years, it is a fantasic event that transforms Nottingham's city centre.

Very proud to share the new website for Château Logis D'Equilly in Normandy. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to design a website for a luxury accommodation. The site includes a bi-lingual function and synchronisation across third-party booking platforms.

And guess what! No AI, true human creativity, fancy that!

As promised, another look at my current web design project. This amazing chateau will soon be open to the public and bookings can be made on their brand-new website in both English and French.

The new owners of this incredible chateau wanted to ensure they started off on the right foot. They have worked tirelessley on renovating the property to give the best customer experience. But what good is all that effort if those future customers were put off in their first impression when viewing online? Or even worse, never finding the venue online.

Working with the designers, I was able to identify their key desires for the website:

- Luxurious web design to echo the reality of the spaces
- Bi-lingual capability to be accessible to both English and French speakers
- Synchronisation to third-party platforms such as Booking.com
- Ability to book rooms natively on the website

Now with the site looking to launch in the next few weeks I am really looking forward to seeing how the business benefits going into their first summer season!

Are there certain projects that you find challenging? I feel this way when working on the REMOLI website. Why am I expressing this opinion so publicly? Well, I love the brand, the family behind it all and the food is incredible. Herein lies the problem, I get hungry every time I work on their website. It's just not fair really.

Hopefully Simone Remoli & Francesca Tarquini will forgive me for sharing my frustration, and maybe open a branch near me?? Please??

Got a website? Yup! Job done right? Nope! Once your website is live it is not set in stone, it must adapt with the times and your business strategy. SEO is a perfect example of how a business can scale and adapt to bring in those valuable leads.

Working with GPW Architects during their first year allowed me to refine their website and their search strategy to be found more readily on Google organically. Layering this further with additional works and other search strategies has manifested some fantastic results.

Would this have happened if they completed their website and thought "job done!"
