Laboratories in the World Health Organisation (WHO) use our software and, as the coronavirus continues to spread, we've been busy using Skype to train extra lab technicians in the use of the Calibration Toolbox pipette module and correct techniques for pipette calibration.

The HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) Protocol is the global standard for sending and receiving digital information along the analogue wires that connect smart devices to control or monitoring systems.

Many different types of measuring and recording equipment, such as transmitters for pressure, temperature and loops, use this protocol. Manufacturers include:

* Fluke
* Yokogawa
* Rosemount
* Schneider
* WIKA

Once again, demonstrating our knowledge and leadership in software development for all aspects of calibration, we are pleased to announce that Calibration Toolbox ADO and Caliso Temps are now able communicate with these devices using proprietary HART modems.

One new solution, two applications:

* Use Caliso Temps to connect to your existing temperature calibration instruments to fully automate your calibration processes

* Use Calibration Toolbox ADO and Site Technician to record on-site calibrations eliminating errors in data entry, and so significantly increase the accuracy and productivity of your work

Today sees the start of an interesting mini-project to develop software that will automate the calibration of barometric altimeters, airspeed indicators and vertical speed indicators. These are fitted in a wide range of aircraft such as the Piper shown here. Just the sort of challenge that Humpage Technology thrives on.

Pressure calibrations?

Use one of these electronic standards connected to your PC and, when you type in the reading from the unit under test, the reference value will be recorded automatically when you press the ENTER key.

We can do the same with digital micrometers, thermometers, DMMs etc, etc. Remember, there's a lot more to calibration software that just database applications but, since you mentioned it, we have a cracker of those as well:
