A little project that never quite made it into the wild… but one I couldn’t resist sharing.

This was a large illustration project created around encouraging children to discover the magic of wild gardens and the habitats they can create, no matter the size of their outdoor space.

The concept included:

🌼 A colouring activity sheet with stickers and educational information about garden habitats

🌱 A plantable postcard filled with wild flower seeds

🦋 Playful illustrations designed to inspire curiosity about the natural world

Although the project was sadly put on hold at the final stage, it’s a great example of how illustration can bring learning, storytelling and connection to life.

Good design isn’t always about a logo or a colour palette. Sometimes it’s about creating something that sparks imagination, teaches something new and makes people stop and engage.

Building brands with meaning that have longevity is at the heart of my process. Before I even start designing, my clients answer my brand questionnaire which gets to the heart of your business, what you're all about and what you are trying to achieve. We look at your design preferences and moodboard together so that when I finally put pencil to paper the ideas fully answer the brief.

I've been working with for a few years, and over that time we've developed a house style for their illustration. The team drop in with ideas that go on to become glassware and merch and even onto their packaging artwork.

This little project popped into my inbox last year to shake up their style a bit, and thought it'd be an excellent way to show a bit of the illustration process, how we go from brief to final design.

I always start in Procreate, honing the design until the client is happy. Then I turn those sketches into vector artworks, meaning they can be scaled to any size for any print or digital output.

I worked with some absolutely cracking small businesses in 2025, and I certainly want that to continue this year.

My OOO is on and I'm wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

2025 has been a whirlwind, so I'm taking a full 2 weeks off to recharge and spend time with my friends and family.

I hope you also get some well deserved rest, no matter how you celebrate.

What an absolute pleasure it was to celebrate Christmas with some fantastic women I've connected and collaborated with this year.
