Why did this take so long?...
Working with Stanhope Gate Architecture Ltd has been a great experience for us at Cross Origin. But when you’re working with a team like SGA, who really get design, nothing is ever just “a quick logo tweak”. It turns into a proper deep dive into shape, spacing, and typography. The kind of detail most people never see, but makes all the difference.
Why was this important from the start?
This wasn’t a rebrand.
No new strategy.
No new audience.
It was just about recognising what was already happening.
With the history and reputation behind Stanhope Gate Architecture, people were always going to start calling them SGA. It felt natural.
Keeping the essence of the brand, that balance between modern and classical, but making it work better for how people actually see and use it day to day.
Sometimes the small changes are the ones you spend the most time on.
