Mercedes-Benz Sprinter - 2.1 CDI 2012

❗️This time was something different,the car come to us with check engine light and excessive black smoke.

⚠️After a complex checks we determined the car didn’t have the DPF filter,someone try to delete the DPF filter from ECU but wasn’t get done in right way.
As the ECU file was messed by previously tuner was a challenge for us to make it work so,

☑️We put back on ECU stock file (which the car come from factory)
☑️Reset all the exhaust sensors
☑️Write another custom file
☑️Write it back on the ECU

✅All the problem have been fixed,the car goes from us without any issues or lights on dash.

The soot clogged up cells and melt them wich make impossible to clean it so we chose to remove it.✅

EGR Valve problem.

Exhaust Gas Recirculating.

Hardware part created to reduce pollution but in same time kill the engine reliability.

On some cars EGR valve can be really expensive,700£+ labour.

We can eliminate EGR valve software and hardware for very good prices.

After a thorough diagnose we found the ECU fuel injectors chip was fried and the car keep gives misfire on random cilinders.❌

The customer bring us another ECU so we cloned all the data from the old ECU and we write everything to the new ECU.💻✅

The car now is running perfectly without any issues ✅

⚠️LifeTime Oil from automatic gearboxes ⚙️

Few days ago i had a chat with someone from BMW about automatic gearboxes and lifetime oil from it.
He started telling me very firmly that oil is for life and never need to be replaced (office dude)🤡😂
In some way the manufacturer are obliged by some laws to give those indication because the environment,wastes,save the planet etc..

🔑 First of all let’s make it clear,”lifetime oil” doesn’t mean you don’t have to replace it,there’s no oil in this world to last forever.
⚙️Every mechanism even if is lubricated always will create very small pieces of metal due to friction.After that we have to consider the oil temperature which always it’s UP and DOWN,the task of washing mechanism,cool down etc.
📉After all of those tasks every oil will loose property sooner or later.

📓⚙️
If you want your gearbox last long you MUST proceed the service every 50-60.000 miles.

⚠️The job was done by BootMode protocol.
Some ECU’s have such a good protection that we have to reflash via BootMode protocol which requires followed steps:
*Remove ECU from the car.
*Opening the ECU housing.
*Connect the pins directly to the chip board.
*Start process Read and Write.
