Exhibition display for Dickies a USA-based clothing manufacturer.

We were very excited to have been invited to produce a collection of 3D visuals for this project in collaboration with UK creative agency 'This Here' and exhibition builders 'Factory Settings'.

The exhibition told Dickies story from manufacturers of practical workwear to designers of modern leisure clothing. The photo panels in this visual introduced visitors to Dickies story through annotated historical photographs, others presented clothing and artifacts from Dickies extensive archive.

Photorealistic images like the one you see here are a cost-effective way to visualise concepts before any construction begins.

My favourite and recently upgraded, 3D modeling application 'Blender 3.0 has an integrated video editing suite that makes it even more versatile for production. It is perfectly capable of challenging the CGI giants and producing convincing virtual environments, cartoon animations, information design, hard surface models, and Arch Viz sequences.

The changing environment caused by the Covid pandemic has presented us with some interesting new opportunities. As the estate market continues to reinvent itself, so have we.

The Blender Foundation is releasing the 'Blender 3' its latest version of this amazing 3D modeling application next week.

We put it through some hoops revisiting a project we created a short time ago. By coincidence, the developer had asked us to create a brief flythrough of one of these new chalet-style homes in East Sussex.

Rendering animation frames is now ridiculously fast, and at 60 frames per second this is very useful indeed ...

The last few months have been a little quieter than expected, so time to indulge a little. This snapshot of a 3D model I have been working on is part of a concept to bring an unused brownfield site on the beachfront close to my studio back to life.

Developing this site using traditional building methods would be challenging for a number of reasons. Temporary, lightweight units made from recycled shipping containers would provide a relatively low-cost solution. This would create opportunities for local businesses to revitalise the area and to improve the local economy.

The new work station arrived last week, we have a new Arch Viz interactive virtual tour underway project underway already and we are noticing a considerably faster work flow. Thanks to Amari.com for their advice and support.

We are upgrading ...

As avid Apple Mac users for over 20 years, we have resisted the pressure to switch to an alternative platform for visualising and design work. However, faced with the undeniable power of the new AMD Radeon Pro W5700 Pro3D Graphics Card, we have decided to upgrade.

A comparative render on a mac that took over 1.5 hrs to render, was ripped through with this new graphics card in an amazing 2.33 minutes, 27 seconds faster than it takes to brew a cup of Lapsang Souchong.

With animated sequences taking considerably less time to render, the workflow will be dramatically improved. So being less reliant on the services of render farms to process these large files, we are able to share the cost-benefit with you ...

Hello, we just wanted to let you know that as far as we are concerned it is business as usual.

This virus has thrust us all into uncharted territory but one thing is clear, we have to keep a respectable distance from each other. We are doing our bit by keeping contact to a minimum, this is not a problem as most of our client/partner contact is on-line.
