Passion 4 Creative design solutions concept to completion

Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.
– Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel

I love exploring different sources of inspiration and passion; be it typography, architecture, graphics, photography, design etc. These combine to generate integrated ways of seeing and responding to various challenges with creative solutions, concept to completion.

Quintessentially quirky
I still had the template from my recent artist collaboration project with Anthony Burrill hanging on the wall, and as you will probably have guessed by now, I do love a bit of reuse…

I wanted to create a kind of typographic Easter Egg with it. This version is a bit more punk, grungy and distressed, a little different from my outside roadside visible version.

This one is destined to hidden beneath the forthcoming structure and insulation, ready to be (possibly) discovered by future generations.

You might think it's all a little bit odd, but that's just me, and it makes me smile.

Grunge graphic - You are here it is now – distressed version

Now you see it, soon you won’t…

I still had the template from my recent artist collaboration project with Anthony Burrill hanging on the wall, and as you will probably have guessed by now, ...

Make more…
Buildings are a canvas.

Having a disused bus shelter and funeral bier store provided me with an external drawing board.

I had an idea. I contacted someone I knew to see if they might be interested in doing a collaboration together,

I explained my idea, and we worked up an idea. Now to turn ideas into reality.

This was made by hand, not generated by AI

Ireland is making its Basic Income for the Arts (BIA) pilot program permanent, which provides selected artists with a weekly stipend of €325.

The program, which began in 2022, was extended until February 2026 and is now set to become a permanent fixture starting in 2026.

The goal is to provide financial stability for creatives, which studies show has resulted in reduced stress, increased creative risk-taking, and more time spent on creative work.

Several years after launching a trial, Ireland is set to make its basic income for artists program permanent starting in 2026.

creative exploration…

Working remotely in a building project does have the odd advantage. At the end of my day job hours, if I had an idea, there was space and time to explore it.
