It's Cyber Security Awareness Month! Want to learn some simple habits to protect you and your company from those pesky cyber criminals? 🦹‍♂️

🔒 Turn on multi-factor authentication everywhere you can! It blocks the vast majority of account takeover attempts.

🔑 Use a password manager. You'll get secure, unique passwords for every account, without having to remember them all!

🛑 Pause before you click. Unexpected invoices, urgent requests from "the boss" or links asking you to log in are classic phishing tactics..

✅ Keep eeeverything updated. Don't ignore those update prompts on your laptop, phone and apps!

🗄️ Back up your data, and then test it. A backup is only useful if you know you can restore your work from it.

💪 Train your team! Your people are your first line of defence.

The last bank holiday until Christmas is coming up... Which means four solid months of actual work between us and the next 'free' day off. Woo! 😅 But that's exactly why now is the perfect time to see how we can wiggle out of that by using AI to do our boring, mundane tasks that everyone hates! Cue Microsoft Copilot, everyone's favourite robot skivvy... 😏

Just kidding; that felt mean, even for a feelingless digital robot. Kao Park is actually named after Charles Kao, the Nobel Prize winner who figured out how to send data down glass fibre. Kind of a big deal seeing as the whole internet runs on his homework!

Also fun fact: half of Harlow still can't get wifi to reach the meeting room. 😂

Plot twist: Harlow's new claim to fame isn't the roundabouts. It's AI 😂

Kao Data just signed a 10-year AI infrastructure deal worth 22MW, right here on our patch. Suddenly "AI for small businesses" isn't a buzzword muttered around the board room and then slapped into a Google search... It's happening down the road from us!

Our take is that you don't need a data centre to get in on this 😅 Most local businesses just need the right AI tools and a bit of know-how. 💡
