Laptops decommissioned after exams, then wrapped up ready for courier to collect.

Today’s location was in an EE store in Argos
The store was closing permanently and all EE property had to be decommissioned and removed.
Server equipment, PCs, PEDs, surface tablets, printers and tills all removed and boxed up ready for courier to collect.

Department for Work and Pensions job completed yesterday.
Working until the late hours at a Job Centre doing the following..

Decommission of:
31 PCs plus their peripherals
Deployment of:
39 x Docking Stations
9 x Lenovo Docking Stations
43 x Keyboards
43 x Mice
36 x Monitors

[Funny incident]
A company recently dropped off a laptop to us with it looking like the image on the left. The story goes that one of their users ran over the laptop. They had placed it on the floor in their garage. Somehow forgot that they had put it down there and only remembered when they heard a loud crunch when driving their car out the garage….The result....a broken laptop lid and broken screen.

We repaired the laptop, replacing both the lid and screen.

Another Windows 10 booting issue. This time with a HP Stream laptop.
Would get stuck in a boot loop which eventually would show are 'Critical Process Died' error
Windows installation was corrupt to the point where a Windows refresh would also fail. We had to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows 10 for this one!

A PC brought to us from a good customer is now repaired!!
It would fail to boot up and was stuck on a boot loop which eventually produced file system error. We recovered the files, recovered the boot partition and got windows to boot again. We also cleaned all the dust out of his case and updated Windows 10 to the latest version!
Given it a test and it is ready for the owner to collect 😊
We also have a laptop to repair for the same customer which shall be done shortly
