Been busy again here again but just a couple of items left on the bench. Nice to work on an Ashdown amp again. I do support this company. British. Helpful and affordable. Alesis are extremely expensive for parts. Carlsbro schematics are like rocking horse s**t. A Peavy powered desk that blew a hole in the board with shrapnel going through two capacitors. And of course the in never ending stream of Sun Bird House Dimmers,all with the same fault every time. Ah well! Onward and upward.

This package has arrived for me to repair I guess. However whoever sent it has not provided any details. No name no address nothing.
I recognise the item as a sunrise and sunset unit. I repair these on a regular basis. So if someone has sent this and wondered why I haven’t been in touch you now understand a Why? Send contact details.

Well once again the workshop has been packed again with circuit boards needing repair. As per usual some could be fixed and some couldn’t. The boards have been a mixed selection of PCBs from welding machines, cnc machines as well as a collection of Vox, Peavey and a 1965 Selmer twin lead 30w.
What an absolute delight to have this on the bench. I can guarantee it’s never been opened since it was made. Inside was every original component some dating back to 1956. One of the first transistors is in this circuit alongside a really strange looking diode. Well it’s in for its first ever service.

Thanks for keeping me busy this year. Many electronics have been repaired boiler circuits, oven hoods, pretend fires, amplifiers galore, car dashes, hoovers, irons, bikes and cnc machines. Hot tub appliances, drones, cameras, guitars.
I could continue, I won’t.
