Game of thrones inspired art round 1: armoury.

L O N G C L A W

Longclaw of house Mormont was gifted to Jon snow famously in the series. Do you think ser jorah was worthy of weilding longclaw or do you think that Jon deserved long claw more?

Tomorrow: fan art completely made up weapons lore with a name made up by me with a watercolour piece entirely analogue illustrative/calligraphic work.

Everything you see below is entirely hand illustrated digitally. The calligraphic work was also hand lettered digitally.
(Except the body text which is a simple seriffed font to invoke the same feeling of a book beneath the hand drawn script above)

Logo designs that the client did not like.
Logo design is a much more in depth process than many people think, especially if they are not graphic designers themselves. The client wanted a neon sign theme for their milkshake business.
The first logo is the one I liked the best with the 1920s opulence inspired geometry central to the design but the client did not like any of these, and that is okay! As a designer part of the process is meeting in the middle with your client and having them communicate with you and you communicating with them.

Often times it is easy to forget that the central Philosophy of graphic design is 'visual communication' and we focus too much on text based or verbal communication. Designers are important because they take your business and they elevate it to something that the general public will double take and turn around for when they walk past your business on the street.

The idea with the first design was for it to be turned into a neon sign, but the client ended up going to a different designer. This is fine, and this is the client's prerogative.

I would love to see this design as it was intended (a neon sign) and all elements can be changed, so if you would like to claim this design for your business please shoot the page a message and we can discuss further!
