Print for Love of Wood Design & letterpress studio in the UK run by one woman, Jacqui Sharples, otherwise know as Jax

Print for Love of Wood a small design & letterpress studio in Lancashire dedicated to the love of wood type and tree hugging paper. It is a labour of love by freelance graphic designer Jacqui Sharples, a Lancashire lass inspired by a passion for print, the smell of ink, vintage typography and her collection of wood type. Jacqui prints in house on a range of vintage printing presses using tradition

al methods of hand setting type. All the paper and card is tree friendly stock and the ink is recycled from printers who have closed down due to the impact of digital on traditional print methods.

This Saturday sees the welcome return of the Shipley Wayzgoose for it’s fourth outing here at The Kirkgate Centre.

This hugely popular print fair — the only one of it’s type in the north — showcases 30 tables from some of the finest (and wildest) letterpress printers, bookbinders and type foundries from across the UK.

So if you’re looking to buy letterpress books, type, posters, inks or second hand printing equipment —make sure you bring a wheel barrow to carry your swag away as you will be well catered for!

The cafe will be open serving delicious vegan falafels from Wrapture Food https://wrapturefood.co.uk/

It’s open from 11-4pm.

Shipley Wayzgoose in it’s final, finished state printed by the one and only and my good self. The poster started life back in early 2020 before it all went nuts!

They are now available via the link in my bio. Two versions, both lovely.

Anything left will be on sale on the day of the fair. 11th June!
