Microsoft fixes record 206 flaws on Patch Tuesday

Yesterday Microsoft issued fixes for a record 206 security vulnerabilities. 39 of these are rated critical and 167 are rated important in severity.

Thousands of patient records taken in cyber attack

One of the largest hospital trusts in England, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, confirmed 2,380 records were stolen in a cyber attack in 2024. The data was taken from the computer drives of a third-party testing provider, Synnovis. They have warned the stolen data could include people's names, dates of birth, patient numbers, NHS numbers, postcodes and test results.
