This weekend is really heating up for the spring bank holiday!

Being named a finalist reflects the commitment and care our team brings to delivering high‑quality IT and cyber security services for our customers.

At Optimising IT, we help businesses use technology as a positive enabler, through cloud‑first, security‑focused services and a proactive, advisory‑led approach built on long‑term partnerships.

This Earth Day, we wanted to celebrate two organisations we’re proud to partner with: Forest Green Rovers Football Club and Moor Trees 🌍💚

Forest Green Rovers are widely recognised as the greenest football club in the world. As the only vegan football club, they lead by example with an unwavering commitment to sustainability in sport, from reducing travel emissions and avoiding single use plastics, to maintaining an organic pitch irrigated with recycled rainwater and measuring their carbon footprint for more than a decade.

They’re also planning to build the world’s greenest football stadium, planting around 500 trees and 1.8km of hedgerows to enhance biodiversity and support their local environment. We’re incredibly proud to support and sponsor a club that aligns so closely with our values.

Moor Trees, another organisation we proudly sponsor, is a registered charity based in Devon. Their work focuses on growing trees from locally collected seeds and planting them across Dartmoor and South Devon to restore native woodland and protect natural habitats for future generations. The Easter celebrations have started early at Optimising IT!

Our team have each received an Easter egg…as well as the opportunity to hunt for chocolate and mysterious eggs around our Gloucester and Exeter offices.

You might say this is an eggcellent way the kick off the easter celebrations. 🐣

Our team will be enjoying a well-deserved long Easter weekend with our offices closed on Friday 3rd April and Monday 6th April.

We will be back on Tuesday 7th April to action your all-important tickets.

This week, the team came together for our company update. We still haven't managed to get absolutely everyone in the same room just yet, but we're getting closer!

We like to take these sessions offsite so the team can catch up properly afterwards, without the usual office distractions. Our company updates play a big part in how we work, grow, and progress together as a team.

We've got big plans for this year, and we couldn't be happier to have such an incredible team driving everything we do.

And yes, you might have spotted our little furry friend, Ember… who we're now officially calling the OIT office cat.
