We all receive phishing emails like this from time to time. Sometimes the name looks legit, here for example before clicking the name it just said 'EE'. To your unsuspecting person, this may look like a legitimate email but even if you're expecting an email from a trusted source ALWAYS check the actual email address it came from.

They were quite sneaky here in cc'ing a more legitimate looking address but you can see the main address is just some random account. If someone followed this link they could have given up their bank details that easily and lost hundreds or thousands.

If you're unsure, check the official website. EE offer official advise and a phising email you can send the it too. But, never open or put your details in before triple checking an address, it may take a few more seconds but will save you countless hours recovering accounts and changing passwords.

Text phishing or smishing is on the rise across the UK. Criminal's will pretend to be your trusted bank, or bill holder and often people are paying hundres or thousands of pounds to retrieve their data or personal identification stolen to be sold on the dark web. Always be vigilant when receiving text messages, if you're unsure call the actual number from the official business website the text is saying they are from to report it to them directly.
