Not laptop or computer related but an observation for folks giving kids games consoles at Christmas.
🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

All new consoles require updates when they are first plugged in and these can often take quite a long time - made worse as the western world is trying to update all at the same time on the 25th.
🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

May we suggest that you get the console prepared ready “for the day” and then the kids can get right into playing (once any software has done its obligatory updates).

And as you probably know, we don’t do repairs on games consoles or tablets (they are just like phones for repair purposes so try a phone repair shop)

Note the Queensway workshop - unused for customers since Covid - has at last been vacated as it proved totally unnecessary. The workshop is in Collydean or we can collect for a small fee.
