Cafe Install

Another productive install completed ☕💻

We recently carried out a network upgrade for a local café to improve Wi-Fi coverage and reliability for both staff and customers.

🔧 Work completed:

3 new network cables run

2 wireless access points installed

8-port network switch installed

Clean, tidy cabling with minimal disruption to the business

🔧 CCTV Install & Fault Finding Completed 📹

Attended a property to install a new NVR after the previous occupant had removed the original unit.

After fitting a new hard drive and reconnecting the existing Ethernet cables, further investigation uncovered multiple issues:

One camera was receiving power but no video feed

Another camera had no power at all

Front camera cable was found to be cut, with an analogue camera incorrectly mounted

Rear camera was confirmed faulty

Side camera showed the same cabling issue as the front

After discussing the options, the customer opted to upgrade with 2 new cameras and 2 brand-new cable runs.

✅ New cameras installed
✅ Cabling replaced
✅ System fully tested
✅ Hik-Connect app set up on both mobiles for remote viewing

Another property secured and fully operational. If your CCTV system isn’t performing as expected, it’s often more than just the recorder that needs attention.

🔧 CCTV Repair & Cable Management Job Completed 🔧

We were called out to investigate a CCTV camera that had stopped working. After troubleshooting, we found the issue was cable damage caused by an incorrect installation carried out by another company.

✅ Replaced the damaged cable
✅ Restored the camera back to full working order
✅ Wall-mounted the DVR securely
✅ Fully tidied and managed all cables behind the TV (previously left in a complete mess with no cable management)

We also attended the daughter’s property, where we:

📺 Moved the DVR to sit neatly under the TV

📅 This had been requested from the original installer back in November 2025, but unfortunately was never completed

A good installation isn’t just about getting it working — it’s about doing it properly, safely, and neatly.

🚨 Late Emergency Call-Out – Care Home Phone System Restored 🚨

We were called out late to a care home with two cordless phones completely faulty — not something that can wait until the next working day.

Due to the customer’s existing network setup, the phone base station couldn’t be accessed on-site. Rather than leaving the care home without a working solution, we took action immediately.

✅ Supplied two brand-new cordless phones
✅ Safely brought the base station back to our own network
✅ Re-provisioned the Yealink W60 base station onto the service
✅ Returned to site and factory reset both repeaters
✅ Re-paired and redeployed the repeaters to their original locations
✅ Removed temporary call diverts
✅ Fully tested inbound and outbound calls — all confirmed working
