A little throwback to our Teachers 4 Tutors training in Minna!

It was a time to learn, explore, and discover new possibilities for teaching and learning!

At Government Girls Secondary School, Minna, educators explored how digital technology and AI can support lesson planning, assessment creation, classroom management, and everyday professional tasks.

We're excited about the possibilities that this open and we look forward to doing more of this.

On 6 October, TEKTribe Niger State trained 33 staff members at Government Girls Secondary School, Old Airport, Minna, in digital technology and artificial intelligence.

Through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions, teachers explored how digital and AI tools can support lesson planning, assessment creation, classroom management, and everyday professional tasks.

We're taking digital empowerment into the classroom, one school at a time.

You can know how to use a phone and still struggle to find the right information online.

You can learn a digital skill and still not know where to practise it, what to learn next, or where that skill could take you.

International Literacy Day gives us a reason to talk about that too.

During our work with young people in Sokoto and Minna, we have focused on digital skills and awareness: helping young people understand the tools available to them and how they can use them.

But a training session is only one part of the process. Young people also need opportunities to practise, access to useful resources, guidance when they get stuck, and information about where their skills can be applied.

At TEKTribe, that is how we think about digital literacy: not simply being able to use technology, but being able to use it purposefully.

This International Literacy Day, help someone do more with technology. Share a skill. Share an opportunity. Point someone in the right direction.
