When service gets busy, every order matters.

Your EPOS should help your team stay organised, from taking an order to getting it prepared and paid for.

With the right setup, your staff can spend less time chasing information and more time looking after customers.

ACR EPOS Systems supplies solutions for hospitality businesses across Scotland, backed by a local team that understands how you work.

Is your EPOS making things harder than they need to be?

Your EPOS should help your team get through the working day.

If staff are having to work around the system, repeat tasks, hunt for information or find complicated ways of doing something that should be straightforward, it may be time to take a closer look.

Our latest article looks at some of the signs that your EPOS could be creating more work than it saves, and what to consider when reviewing your setup.

Your EPOS should make running your business easier, not harder. Here are some signs that your current system may no longer suit the way your business operates.

Your EPOS can tell you much more than how much you've taken today.

It can show you:

✔️ What's selling
✔️ When you're busiest
✔️ Which products perform best
✔️ How sales change throughout the day
✔️ How different parts of your business are performing

The useful part isn't having all that information.

It's using it to make better decisions.

Your EPOS is already collecting the data.

Are you listening to it?

EPOS has changed a lot since 1977.

When ACR started, tills were very different.

Today, businesses can take orders from handhelds, phones and kiosks, send orders straight to the kitchen, manage multiple sites and see what's happening from almost anywhere.

The technology has changed.

What hasn't changed is the need for it to work for the business using it.

ACR has been helping Scottish businesses navigate those changes for almost 50 years.

Not every business needs a touchscreen EPOS system.

Sometimes, a traditional till is still exactly what a business needs.

For some shops, cafés, bars and smaller businesses, a straightforward till can do the job without adding unnecessary complexity.

That's why ACR still offers traditional till systems alongside modern EPOS solutions.

Because choosing your EPOS shouldn't be about buying the newest technology.

It should be about choosing the right technology for your business.

✔️ Traditional tills
✔️ Modern EPOS systems
✔️ Hardware to suit different businesses
✔️ Solutions built around the way you work

Different businesses need different solutions.

When your EPOS is important to your business, it's good to know there's a local team behind it.

Your EPOS should fit your busiest day, not your quietest.

A system that works perfectly on a quiet Tuesday can feel very different when Friday night arrives.

More orders.
More staff.
More customers.
More pressure.

That's when your EPOS setup really gets tested.

The right combination of terminals, handhelds, kitchen screens, payments and software should reflect how your business actually trades.

Because it's easy to plan for an average day.

It's more important to plan for the days that aren't average.
