Have you seen us talking about Cyber Essentials but not sure if it can help your organisation? Would you like more clarification on the controls? Are you curious as to how exactly the standard can help protect your data and systems?

Two of our CyberScotland Week events, 'Protecting your organisation with Cyber Essentials', are designed to answer these questions.

📅 Monday 26th February
🕑 2pm – 4pm
🏫 In person at the ID Cyber offices
🗒 We take you through the requirements of the Cyber Essentials scheme and show you how it can help protect your organisation. This will be peppered with hands-on demonstrations so you can see exactly how the scheme's controls can help keep your data and systems secure. Ideal for small organisations and charities who are interested in certification but aren't sure how it can help them.

📅 Thursday 29th February
🕑 2pm – 3pm

There are few things more terrifying and devastating than having a loved one go missing and not knowing where they are or whether they're okay.

Trace Labs, a non-profit organisation based in Canada, specialises in crowdsourced open source intelligence (OSINT), inviting people to volunteer their time and expertise to uncover critical information about the possible locations of real missing people.

In February, ID Cyber played host to two teams that included two of our Cyber Essentials Assessors, Alice McGready and Stephen Rattigan, with Alice participating in the event for the fifth time and Steve for the first time.

Check out the below blog to learn about Trace Labs' commendable work and the procedures followed during these events.
