Claire, one month in...

Our Technical Production Coordinator joined the team in September, so we asked her three quick fire questions.

Best bit at Redblu so far? - 'The team! I've loved getting to know everyone at Redblu over the past month. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming and it makes me actually look forward to the morning commute!'

What surprised you? - 'How much thought goes into the tiny details. I've been learning so much about all the experience, knowledge and hard work that each of our projects are backed by and I'm already thinking about where I can take that!'

Favourite stand you have worked on? - 'That's top secret info since most of my projects aren't live until November! I will say - the more interesting the shape of the stand, the better!'

How is your stand built?

Last time we showed you Aluvision frames being installed. Now, we will grant you access to behind the scenes content of some inset illuminated floor lighting being installed on build day.

Exhibiting in 2027?

The time to start is now.

Between quoting & design, graphics print and build slots, a stand that is properly planned takes longer than most people expect. If you are exhibiting in Q1 2027, this is the order we would do it in.

1. Confirm your space and send your floor plan to us
2. Decide what the stand needs to do (leads, a launch, meetings)
3. Brief our stand designers
4. Sign off the logistics

Getting this all sorted 4 weeks & more, prior to the show starting is the goal for all parties involved.

Do these steps early and the rest is easy. Leave them late and everyone pays for it.

Friday question for you all..

What is one of the worst things you have seen go wrong on a stand at a show? Missing graphics, a dead screen? a stand that was not ready when the doors opened?

Ours: High chairs were ordered to go alongside a small meeting table.. (It was swiftly resolved and the show went well for the exhibitor)

More from IWA 2026...

Yesterday we said LED video walls run the show. The ones that worked best were the ones with a clear job to do: pulling people in from the aisle and giving them a reason to stop and chat.

IWA 2026

The team have took a trot down to Scottish Event Campus (SEC) for IWA 2026.

Getting busier by the minute here, always a good sign.

What have we noticed at this show?

LED video walls run the show. It’s so important grabbing people’s attention and we feel that if you do incorporate an LED wall with intention and purpose. The benefits are huge!!

When Should You Book Your Stand?

Short answer: earlier than you think. 4 weeks prior to the event start date is what we say as normal practice.

The closer you get to the show, the more limited your options become.

Giving yourself enough time means you can properly plan your design ideas, logistics and the mountain of other things it takes to carry out a smooth stand delivery.

Our advice? Don't leave it until the last minute.

A successful stand build starts with good planning.
