Remembering Jimmy Revie 🥊

It was an honour to create a bespoke printed order of service for Jimmy, a former British featherweight champion and a much-loved, well-respected member of the boxing community.

His wife, Louisa, had a clear vision for his tribute: a design that celebrated his boxing career and the achievements she was so proud of. We brought her wishes together in a personal, boxing-themed order of service, reflecting an important part of Jimmy’s life.

Louisa also shared that a ten-bell salute would form part of his funeral service—a moving and fitting farewell to a champion.

In Jimmy’s memory, Louisa is continuing to raise funds for the Ringside Charitable Trust. The charity supports former boxers and boxing personnel facing hardship, ill health and isolation, while working towards its vision of a dedicated residential care home.

🎉 ORCHID MEMORIES IS 5 TODAY! 🎉

Five years ago today, I took the leap and started Orchid Memories… and I honestly can’t quite believe how quickly those five years have flown by.

Today feels like the perfect opportunity to stop for a moment and say a huge THANK YOU. 💕

To every family who has trusted me to create something personal and unique in memory of someone they love — thank you. I know that I meet families at an incredibly difficult time in their lives, and it is always a genuine honour to be entrusted with creating something so important for a loved one’s final farewell.

And to all of the wonderful funeral directors, celebrants and other funeral industry professionals who continue to use Orchid Memories and recommend my services to the families you care for — your support and trust are massively appreciated. Thank you. 🌿

A lot has happened over these five years, and Orchid Memories continues to grow and evolve. This year alone has seen the launch of our lovely new website, and our new office is currently being completely revamped ready for the next chapter.

Although the circumstances in which I meet my clients are often very sad, I can genuinely say that I love what I do. I care enormously about every family I work with and about creating something that feels personal, meaningful and completely individual to the person being remembered.

So today marks five years of Orchid Memories — five years of designing, creating, remembering and, most importantly, being trusted with so many precious memories. 💕

There are definitely cupcakes all round today… and a little glass of Prosecco to raise a toast! 🧁🥂

Here’s to five years, and to the next chapter of Orchid Memories.

Her family wanted her printed Order of Service to reflect something personal to her, so we incorporated an elegant dancing silhouette alongside soft pink roses and delicate blush tones.

With ‘Dancing Queen’ by ABBA chosen as her exit music, the design felt even more fitting — a lovely reflection of something she truly enjoyed. ✨

Every Order of Service we create at Orchid Memories is individually designed around the person being remembered. It was an honour to create this one, and we hope her family and friends will treasure their booklet as a beautiful keepsake from her farewell.

A tribute designed around a lifetime of memories, heritage and tradition .. 💙

We recently had the privilege of creating this bespoke Order of Service for a gentleman whose roots within the Traveller community were an important part of his life and identity.
-
His family told us how he had grown up around horses and had always held strong Traveller traditions close to his heart. They also shared with us an image of his cherished wagon, which we were able to incorporate into the booklet alongside a bespoke countryside design featuring traditional horses and a wagon.
-
It meant that his Order of Service became so much more than simply a guide to the funeral ceremony. It told a little piece of his story and reflected the heritage, traditions and memories that meant so much to him and his family.

And now, every person who attended his funeral has a personal keepsake to take home — something that will always remind them of him, his roots and the life he lived .. 💙

This is why we believe every Order of Service should be as individual as the person it celebrates.

Some of the most meaningful designs are those that reflect the little things that made someone uniquely them. 💙

For this gentleman’s Order of Service, his family shared three things that had played a special part in his life — he had been a keen runner, loved fishing, and was a devoted West Ham supporter .. 🔨

We brought all three elements together within the design, creating something personal and fitting that truly reflected him and the things he enjoyed.

His wife was so pleased with the finished result, and for those who knew and loved him, these small personal touches made his Order of Service that little bit more special.

This beautiful order of service was created for a lovely lady who absolutely adored tulips. Her family shared that every spring her home was filled with fresh tulips, and when they weren’t in season, she always had beautiful artificial ones instead.

That’s why tulips simply had to be the heart of her farewell stationery.

We’re delighted to announce the launch of the brand-new Orchid Memories website!

Over the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to create a fresh, modern and more user-friendly experience for the families and funeral professionals we support.

Our new website has been carefully redesigned to make it easier than ever to find information, explore our products and services, and get in touch with us. We’ve simplified the layout, improved navigation, added new products, refined existing ones, and introduced a straightforward online order form so families can place orders and upload information at a time that suits them.

As a business, we believe it’s important to continually evolve and improve. We want every visitor to instantly understand who we are, what we do, and how we can help during what is often a very difficult time.

For this beautiful design, the family shared that their loved one adored holidays in Greece, loved bright pink and orange dahlias, enjoyed a glass of w**e, and treasured spending time with her family. We incorporated these meaningful details into the artwork, creating a design that felt personal, fitting and uniquely hers.
