⭐ HERE'S A STATISTIC I FOUND REALLY INTERESTING...

What do people do after reading a positive review about a business?

You might assume they immediately call or message them.

Apparently not.

Research published in 2026 found that 54% of consumers visit the business's WEBSITE after reading positive reviews.

In fact, only 34% were ready to buy or book immediately - most wanted to do some more research first.

That makes sense when you think about it.

⭐ A review creates interest.
🔎 They look you up.
🌐 Your website builds confidence.
📱 Then they contact you.

It's a good reminder that your Google reviews, social media and website shouldn't really be viewed separately - they're all part of the same customer journey.

🤔 DOES A SMALL BUSINESS REALLY NEED A WEBSITE?

Here's an interesting statistic...

78% of UK businesses now have a website.

Just two years ago that figure was only 68%.

And when you look specifically at businesses with 10–49 employees, it rises to a massive 92%.

So perhaps the question is changing.

Instead of asking:

❌ “Do I really need a website?”

Maybe we should be asking:

✅ “What does a potential customer think when they search for my business and DON'T find one?”

Social media is fantastic - we use it ourselves - but your website is the part of your online presence that you control.

🤔 “Do I really need a website? I already have Facebook.”

Facebook is brilliant for finding and talking to customers - but it's still somebody else's platform.

A website gives your business its own professional home online. 🏠

It's somewhere you can send customers to learn about you, see what you offer and make an enquiry — without distractions, competing posts or algorithms deciding who sees you.

And having both? Even better. 👍
